Water Districts - Organizations
High Plains Underground Water Conservation District No. 1- The High Plains Underground Water Conservation District provides for the conservation, preservation, protection, recharging, and prevention of waste of ground water stored in the Ogallala aquifer within the boundaries of the district.
North Plains Groundwater Conservation District- The North Plains Groundwater Conservation District provides for the conservation, preservation, protection, recharging, and prevention of waste of the groundwater within the defined boundary of the District.
Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District- The Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District strives to develop, promote, and implement water conservation, augmentation, and management strategies, to protect water resources for the benefit of the citizens, economy, and environment of the District.
Kansas Goundwater Management District #3- The Kansas GMD#3 provides access to information about the District, its operation and programs, and about water-related issues.
Kansas Groundwater Management District #4- The purpose of Kansas GMD #4 is the proper conservation and management of the groundwater resources.
South Plains Underground Water Conservation District- The South Plains Underground Water Conservation District will develop, promote, and implement management strategies to provide for the conservation, preservation, recharging, and prevention of waste of the groundwater resources for the District.
Groundwater Management District Association- The Groundwater Management District Association (GMDA) is composed of local groundwater management districts in several Midwestern and Southern states.
Kansas Groundwater Management District No. 1- The Western Kansas GMD#1 provides access to information about the District, its operation and programs, and about water-related issues.
Kansas Groundwater Management District No. 5- The Kansas Big Bend GMD #5 provides access to information about the District, its operation and programs, and about water-related issues.

Irrigation Association- The Irrigation Association promotes modern water management skills and techniques for irrigated agriculture, turf, landscape and golf.
Texas Agricultural Irrigation Association- The TAIA promotes efficient irrigation practices through the proper design, installation and management of agricultural irrigation systems through educational and informational programs.
Central Plains Irrigation Association- CPIA is an organization for people in the Central Plains, who are interested in irrigation.
